Verona, Italy

We needed a place to go to before we went to Venice and after we went to Milan, so that was the only place that came to mind. It’s only about 45 minutes away from Venice. It ended up being such a pretty city. We stayed in an airbnb right next to the main downtown area.

The downtown is filled with tons of restaurants and a smaller version of the colosseum in Rome. We only had one full day but it was perfect because Verona isn’t that big. It’s known for being very romantic because it’s the home of Romeo and Juliet. Went to go see Juliets house where the balcony from the story still remains. Everyone gets pictures of themselves touching the Juliet statue for good luck in love. They also put lockets on the wall or the trees.
