Ubud is a hippie town with lots of places to do yoga and eat tons of yummy healthy vegan and vegetarian food. It’s located up in the mountains an hour away from the main beachy touristy areas. Celuk Jewelry Stores
On Celuk road near Ubud there are tons and tons of jewelry stores one right after the other.
Luwak Coffee Plantation
At the tea and coffee plantation you get a free tour and tasting. The only thing they charge you for is if you want to try the famous Luwak coffee. It is the rarest coffee in the world and made in Indonesia. They have a gift shop where you can buy tea and coffee to take home.
Cantika Spa offers massages, facials, and hair treatments for under $20. It’s the most peaceful place to get a massage!
The teganungan waterfall is the only waterfall in Ubud. It’s definitely worth visiting to escape the Bali heat.
Goa Gaja Temple
The Goa Gajah Temple is located right next to one of the Luwak coffee plantations and is only about $2 to get in.
Holy Water Temple
The locals visit the Holy Spring Water Temple at least every 6 months to cleanse the mind, body, and spirit. We payed a guy a few dollars and he provided us with our sarongs and told us everything about the Hindu religion and what to properly do in the water to cleanse ourselves.
The Monkey Forest was really fun besides when I got bit by a monkey. Don’t pick up a baby monkey when the mama monkey is sitting right behind you.(obviously, haha) It only costs a few dollars to get in and you can also buy bananas to feed the monkeys.
Tegagalong rice patty fields
Tegagalong rice terraces is what most people go to Ubud to see. You can just give a small donation to the locals working on the fields and they let you walk all around terraces.
Definitely a must do in Ubud is the market. The market is on Jl. Karna right off of Jl. Raya Ubud. It goes on every day from 8am-6pm.
Jungle Fish is a restaurant and pool club set in the middle of the mountains. You have to spend a minimum of 150k rupiah on food and drinks to get a seat near the pool.
